Michelle was born in Mexico and at the age of 8 she was brought to the United States, shortly after she began her immigration process. Going through an immigration process made Michelle realize the struggle that immigrants must go through, that her immigrant community is fragile, since any immigration process can be very traumatic, and it was there that she knew she had to make a difference. Prior to working at Vanderwall Immigration, Michelle started working at Meadowlark Immigration as a receptionist, but her dedication made her eager to help more, then she became a legal assistant and helped attorneys with certain immigration processes. She later worked at the Victims' Rights Center, a non-profit organization that provides free legal services to survivors of sexual assault and rape, with humanitarian immigration applications such as U&T visas and VAWA. Throughout these years, in addition to working in these companies, Michelle volunteered at several clinics to help low-income immigrants with certain immigration applications, she also participated in some immigration strikes to avoid deportation at the Tacoma Detention Center, in Vancouver, WA to protect DACA and in downtown Portland to protect the rights of immigrants. Michelle hopes to continue working in the immigration field to help as many people obtain legal status as possible.

In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends. She likes to identify aircraft, her favorite aircraft is an Airbus 321neo, with registration number N536VL. She also loves adventures, roller coasters, traveling, dancing, crime podcasts, and listening to music.
