Candace Vanderwall

Candace was born overseas, and her father is a naturalized U.S. citizen. She fondly remembers watching him take the oath of citizenship while waving her American flag. He inspires her love for immigration.

She moved to the beautiful state of Oregon when she was young and grew up in Corvallis and Salem, Oregon. As an adult, she spent a year living and working in France and hopes to move back one day. She loves to travel and meet new people from all over the world. She is married to her best friend and together they have three small children.

Candace obtained her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon where she graduated with departmental honors. She worked as a paralegal for two years before attending Willamette University College of Law. She became a licensed attorney of the Oregon State Bar in October 2013 and joined the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

After graduating from law school, Candace launched the Beaverton office of Affordable Immigration Services. In January 2016, she struck out on her own, forming Vanderwall Immigration.  She has grown Vanderwall Immigration from one attorney and two administrative assistants into the successful firm it is today. In March 2020, Vanderwall Immigration opened a second location in Salem, Oregon in order to serve more clients throughout Oregon.

Candace is proud that Vanderwall Immigration is a firm full of fierce advocates who represent our immigrant community with creativity, integrity, and compassion.
