Michelle Angel
Michelle is a first-generation college graduate from Sacramento, California. She graduated Cum Laude from Sacramento State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. During her undergraduate studies, Michelle worked as a research assistant, assisting on several projects related to immigration policy and the impact of deportation within the Latino community. In 2025, Michelle graduated with her Master’s in Criminal Justice from Portland State University and completed a Master’s thesis on immigration attitudes and perceived Latino threat. During her time in graduate school, Michelle delved into research on immigration and political policies that affected the Latino community. Michelle hopes to continue demystifying the U.S. immigration system and sharing knowledge with the Latino community on matters that directly impact them.
Outside of work, Michelle likes to explore new coffee shops in the city, read books about the immigration experience, and challenge herself in her pilates classes.
